StripeStories - Lorenzo Vitturi x Harmont&Blaine
Lorenzo Vitturi x Harmont&Blaine
During Milan Design Week, the flagship store in Milan hosts the artworks of Lorenzo Vitturi. Starting from the iconic stripes of Harmont & Blaine and embracing a process of craftsmanship and upcycling that fully represents the philosophy and values of the brand, Vitturi has shaped a veritable art gallery within the Corso Matteotti boutique. It has been reimagined as a high-impact tactile and visual journey that spans from the shop windows to the interiors, featuring four site-specific sculptures made from recycled materials. The artworks on display include Quadriga, created with recycled fabrics and materials crafted in high relief and joined together in an original polychromatic puzzle; Cosmoriga, a multi-material suspension of ropes of different thicknesses, lined with archive fabrics and woven into sinuous and vibrant volumes; Pressriga, a pedestal-mounted work generated by the layering and pressing of reclaimed shirts; and Volariga, a cylindrical configuration, also suspended from the ceiling, characterized by lively hues, striped graphics, and dynamic intersections.
